Sun Drunk’s Grand Celebration: Ribbon Cutting, Bay 9 News Feature & Opening Party

September 20th, 2025 was a day we’ll never forget here at Sun Drunk. After only a month of planning, but plenty of anticipation, we officially celebrated the opening of our boutique on Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach with a ribbon cutting, live news feature, and an unforgettable party with our community.

A Fresh Start, A Big Moment

Two years ago, Sun Drunk was just a dream. After setbacks—including losing everything during two hurricanes—we rebuilt, reimagined, and came back stronger. Our ribbon cutting on September 20th wasn’t just about opening our doors; it was about resilience, community, and bringing a vision to life.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from the St. Pete Beach Chamber of Commerce, followed by the official ribbon cutting in front of our shop. Seeing the scissors slice through that ribbon was symbolic of new beginnings—and a reminder that brighter days are always ahead.

The segment highlighted our journey, our love for St. Pete Beach, and the unique vibe that makes our boutique so special. It was surreal to see our vision and passion broadcast across Tampa Bay, and we’re endlessly grateful for the support.

A Party to Remember

Of course, no grand opening is complete without a proper celebration! We threw a beach-inspired party that matched the energy and joy of the Sun Drunk brand. Guests enjoyed live activities, treats, shopping specials, and plenty of laughter. From fairy hair sparkles to custom hat and tote designs, it was all about creating fun memories with the community that has embraced us so warmly.

The turnout exceeded all expectations—our store was buzzing with old friends, new neighbors, and visitors who stopped in to see what Sun Drunk was all about. The atmosphere was electric, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start.
